Cathleen M. Giovannini

Cathleen M. Giovannini is an attorney who is passionate about doing what is right for people in need. For over 27 years, Cathleen has gained experience across the country practicing complex litigation, civil ligation, government and municipality law, insurance defense, business litigation, real estate litigation, probate administration and litigation, and plaintiff’s personal injury litigation.

Prior to joining JRG Attorneys at Law she has a practice background as a deputy county counsel with the County of Montery who served as an attorney forthe Public Guardian and Child Protective Services to protect elders and children who were being abused and neglected. In these roles, she truly found her calling to use her legal abilities for the greater good. This same ideology applies to her work here at JRG Attorneys at Law, where she can assist with personal injury, civil litigation, probate, and more.

As a Deputy County Counsel, Cathleen also engaged in Sheriff’s Office ligation; public entity defense; juvenile dependency (trial and appellate attorney) abused and neglected children; attorney for Adult Protective Services and Public Guardian/Public Administrator; bankruptcy; elder law litigation; employment law (transactional and litigation); and transactional/advising workfor the Department of Social Services, Public Guardian/Public Administrator, Child Support Services.

Born and raised in Southern California, Cathleen attended UCLA before heading east to the Midwest, where she completed her J.D. at Notre Dame Law School. As a military spouse to an Army helicopter pilot, she lived in more than half a dozen states. Being able to see so much of the country has helped her stay connected to people and understand their stories. Today, she loves calling Monterey County her home because it balances Midwest hospitality with the easy-going California lifestyle.
