Doug Dusenbury, Of Counsel for JRG Attorneys at Law, graduated from Kansas State University in 1965 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He was president of the senior class, a member of the Blue Key National Honor Society, on the Dean’s Honor Roll, and earned varsity letters in three sports. Doug graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1968 where he was president of his first-year class and a member of the Law Review.

Doug began his law career with the firm of Martin, Pringle, Shell and Fair in Wichita, Kansas in 1968, where he was active in a general civil litigation practice. One of the firm’s clients was Beech Aircraft Corporation. Doug spent several years involved in aviation product liability litigation for that client, as well as in antitrust litigation.

Doug moved to Carmel, California in 1978, becoming a member of the California Bar that same year. In 1987 he became a partner in the firm of Crist and Dusenbury with Skip Crist of Palo Alto, again primarily focusing on litigation.

In 1989, he joined the firm of Bohnen, Rosenthal and Call, which then became known as Bohnen, Rosenthal and Dusenbury. He continued as a partner in that firm for approximately 20 years, at which time he became “of counsel” to the firm. His practice centered on civil litigation and also included real estate and business/corporate law.

In addition to his law practice, Doug has had an active California real estate broker’s license since 1978 and currently utilizes his license with Sotheby’s International Realty Company in Carmel.

Dusenbury is an avid golfer and a member of Monterey Peninsula Country Club and Flint Hills National Golf Club in Andover, Kansas. His wife of 25 years, Ann, worked for a local Hospice organization for 20 years, and he has been active with committee work for Hospice and for Monterey Peninsula Country Club.
